Nominations Are Open for the 2023 PDMA OCI Award
|
|
|
Share your innovation journey and achievements from New Product Development
In 2022, PDMA awarded The Hershey Company the prestigious Outstanding Corporate Innovator Award (OCI) in recognition of its sustained innovation success. At the 2022 Annual Conference, Hershey shared with PDMA the practices and processes that have contributed to its success.
We have now started the process of identifying candidates for the 2023 OCI Award. We are looking for
organizations that can demonstrate the use of disciplined practices and processes to continuously develop and launch a stream of value, creating new products and services.
For companies that participate in the OCI process, it is not just about getting an award, as you will see in this quote from a past winner —
"Going through the OCI award process gave us a chance to look at our processes and objectively look at both our strengths and how to continue to improve. The OCI selection
committee's questions and observations were very informative," said Avi Robbins, Vice President of Global Product Development and R&D at Porex, one of the 2019 OCI winners.
Do you know an organization, perhaps yours, which has distinguished itself by its ability to consistently identify, develop, and launch breakthrough innovations? If so, please take a few minutes and complete the nomination form. You can also learn more about OCI on the PDMA website.
The deadline for nominations is March 27, 2023.

Every product manager knows they must wield the power of communication with great effect. After all, according to PMI’s annual global survey, communication is the #1 skill that employers are looking for in their project professionals. The way we present our ideas is critically important when speaking with our team, our stakeholders, and our vertical chain. The best product managers have learned to engage their audiences with authenticity. They know how to tap into their "true impromptu self." You can, too, by learning to recognize and avoid the obstacles that stand in your way.
Join Seth Greenwald at this seriously fun session as he shows you how to supercharge your communication skills with the power
of authenticity.

Benchmark with Your Peers on Industry Spending and Trends
|
|
|
PDMA is proud to partner with The All Things Innovation Survey Committee along with FEI to provide you the opportunity to benchmark with your peers on how folks are spending and the mindsets around current trends.
If you’ve already taken the survey, thank you; please send it to your colleagues!
And if you haven’t yet, the survey should only take about 10 minutes to complete.
The results from this survey will provide you and your colleagues in our community with much-needed benchmarking information on mindset and focus trends as well as budget and technology spend.
We’ll analyze the responses and output results into the Spend & Trends Report.
Our goal is to provide resources for innovation disciplinarians to better collaborate with the rest of the organization.
>> TAKE THE SURVEY
We’ll send you the Report as soon as it’s released. Your responses will be kept completely confidential. We appreciate your time—this research helps our entire industry, and we
can’t do it without you. Thank you for helping us advance the innovation discipline.
