PDH Credits: 2

Innovate Carolina 2023 is going virtual on Saturday April 22! (9–11:15 am EDT).
Under the broad topic of Product Resilience and Sustainable Innovation, the PDMA’s Carolinas Chapter is presenting a virtual conference highlighting innovators of the future.

Featuring:
Keynote speaker Michael Arena on how managers can blend virtual and face-to-face work to avoid the loss of connections and social capital that hybrid work brings. He will introduce you to an alternative organizational design that leaders can adopt to overcome the losses and limitations of a hybrid environment.
Student Showcase: See the ideas and product concept development from local Carolina Universities that entered the PDMA Carolinas Chapter Student Innovation Competition. Ask questions and interact with the finalist student teams. We’ll celebrate the teams and present the winning teams with their awards.
YogaVibes: Prepare your body and mind for the rest of the week with a lesson on how to “put your mask on first” as you absorb the learnings of the day with some breathing and chair yoga exercises.

See additional information on our Innovate Carolina website.

New kHUB Content
  • Podcaster Chad McAllister of Product Mastery Now shared some recent conversations with PDMA leaders and Inspire Innovation 2022 speakers that we have posted on kHUB.
  • PDMA’s local chapters continue to hold online events.  We post the recordings and presentations from the local events on kHUB’s Local Chapter Content - on Demand for you to access and view at your convenience. Recently posted is the latest from the Carolinas Chapter in the US: Developing the Right Skills in Product. This is another discussion with Chad McAllister, to highlight Insights into the skills to develop as you move towards product mastery. With 30+ years of product experience, Chad loves helping product managers and leaders move towards product mastery, creating greater value for customers and their organizations. He frequently works with product teams, facilitating their move to higher performance.
  • Links to a YouTube channel/podcast have been added to kHUB’s additional resources! Follow these insights from Managing Innovation. John Bessant shows how “Innovation is a journey, not an event. It’s not like the cartoons—you know, the moment when the light bulb flashes on above someone’s head and everything just happens? In real life, it’s a bit more complicated. We still need that idea—but for it to create value we need more.” And check out the other podcasts and blogs the kHUB curators recommend.
