PDMA Renews Partnership with CITEF
|
|
|
We are pleased to share that PDMA has signed a new three-year agreement with the Center for International Talent Exchange Foundation (CITEF) to continue our important partnership
in China. Since 2017, approximately 40,000 individuals have earned the New Product Development Professional (NPDP) certification through this collaboration—an incredible testament to the global reach and relevance of PDMA’s Body of Knowledge.
CITEF has been an outstanding partner in delivering the NPDP certification program. Their commitment to excellence, deep understanding of the Chinese professional landscape, and dedication to advancing product development capabilities have made this a highly successful and impactful collaboration. CITEF has not only helped expand PDMA’s global footprint but has also ensured that the NPDP credential is recognized as a gold standard for product professionals in China.
This renewed agreement reflects the strength of our relationship and the continued demand for professional standards in product development across international
markets. It also reinforces PDMA’s role as a global thought leader in product innovation and management practices.
We are grateful for CITEF’s ongoing partnership and look forward to continued success in the years ahead.

Recent kHUB Postings:
- Guest contributor Jake McKee expands his contributions involving Community-Driven Product Development (CDPD) to incorporate AI in the
process in his latest kHUB article, You’re Not Just Shipping AI—You’re Designing a Relationship. Jake introduces AI Experience Design (AIX) for product leaders and shares the definition of AIX, along with six AIX principles product leaders and product organizations need to know. AI Experience Design (AIX) is the emerging practice of intentionally shaping how users relate to AI—not just how they interact with it. As AI becomes embedded in products, the quality of the relationship users form with the AI—based on trust, emotion, tone, and adaptability—is becoming a core differentiator. Product leaders must shift from shipping features to designing meaningful, human-centered AI experiences. AI is relational: Users now form emotional and behavioral relationships with AI, not just use it as a tool. AIX goes beyond UX: It's about shaping trust, tone, and empathy in AI interactions. Why it matters: Emotional experience and trust are core to user satisfaction and product success.
- User observation is paramount when designing personas, uncovering latent needs, and capturing the voice of the customer. When we conduct these observations in artificial environments, such as a laboratory setting, the researcher can
manipulate variables and measure the outcome quantitatively. However, these environments do not provide the richness in discovering user behavior. A more robust approach is through naturalistic observations that happen in the user’s natural environment. The recent kHUB article “User Centered Design, Extracting the VoC through the Lens of Affinity Diagrams” by kHUB content editor Carlos Rodriguez presents affinity diagramming methods, process, examples, pitfalls, and several software tools available for the product manager.
