PDMA’s kHUB is an evolving collaborative tool that facilitates the creation and exchange of product management and development knowledge and best practices. kHUB is quite honestly the “hub”, that provides the basis for individual professional development and for organizational innovation, leading to a competitive edge. Some companies view R&D and product development as a cost of doing business. It’s one more function to support with cash so that the company can continue to exist. Other companies, however, recognize that R&D is an investment in their futures, and rather than merely enable a company to exist, it allows a company to grow and prosper. Author Norbert Majerus’ article “Winning Innovation” was recently posted in the Product Innovation Process section of kHUB.
The seven kHUB content editors find or write articles and blogs for posting and discussion. They also each regularly write a short Viewpoint Blog related to the BoK chapter they’re responsible to curate.
Recently Product Innovation Process section curator Rajeshwari Krishnamurthy expanded on PDMA’s BoK Chapter 3, explaining how new products are an important contributor to the revenues of any company and that it’s time for entrepreneurs to critically evaluate their NPD process, if they are to succeed consistently in the market place in "New Product Development in an Entrepreneurial Company” And Chapter 4 curator Carlos Rodriguez explains the SCAMPER tool — a lateral thinking method that helps you generate ideas to improve existing products and services by asking questions around several areas of inquiry. These questions constitute a “new lens” or “perspective”. Learn more about it in his recent kHUB blog post “The Design Space: SCAMPER Ideation in Product Design” KHUB on a Global Scale
Join the thousands of kHUB readers accessing PDMA articles, viewpoints, webinars, podcasts, blogs, and discussions related to Product Development, Innovation and Product Management. See what content, insight and discussions are available to assist you on your product design and development journey.
