PDMA had a nice presence in Atlanta, October 25-27. Carolinas Chapter President and kHUB Administrator Sue Burek and PDMA Executive Director Eric Ewald exhibited at the Project Management Institute (PMI) Global Summit at the Atlanta World Congress Center. The event was attended by approximately 3,000 project managers from around the world. Many had an interest in product management and stopped by the PDMA booth to learn more about PDMA and for conversations about product development and management. The goal was to sign up 100 new members and build awareness of PDMA within the PMI community. PDMA signed up 120 new members and had three people indicate interest in starting local chapters! By coincidence, one evening there was a meeting across town of “Product Coffee” and Product Camp Atlanta organizers, so Sue and Eric attended that as well — meeting with some who were already familiar with PDMA and introducing the organization to others. Each of the three days was packed with exhibit time, introductions, and good conversations and certainly well worth the time and travel!
